Markus Fothen
Markus Fothen (born 9 September 1981 in Kaarst) is a retired German road racing cyclist, who rode as a professional between 2004 and 2013. In 2003 Fothen won the under-23 World Championship time trial in Hamilton, Canada. He completed the 30.8 km course in 38:35.29, beating his nearest rival by nearly 20 seconds. During 2006 Tour de France, Fothen held the white jersey as leader of the young rider classification for 13 stages, losing it to Damiano Cunego on the 17th stage. He finished the Tour 38 seconds behind Cunego. Lennard Kämna (born 9 September 1996) is a German professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He rode with in 2015, before his team and merged for the 2016 season. Career At the age of 14, Kämna left his family home in Bremen to attend a sports school in Cottbus. In 2014, he became the junior world champion in the individual time trial at the UCI Road World Championships, having already won the German and European championships at the same level earlier in the year. A year later, he finished third in the under-23 time trial at the World Championships in Richmond. Maximilian Richard "Max" Walscheid (born 13 June 1993) is a German cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Walscheid was born in Neuwied. On 23 January 2016, he was one of the six members of who were hit by a car which drove into on-coming traffic while they were training in Spain. All riders were in stable condition. The COVID-19 pandemic in Germany has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. On 27 January 2020, the first case in Germany was confirmed near Munich, Bavaria. By mid February, the arising cluster of cases had been fully contained. On 25 and 26 February, multiple cases related to the Italian outbreak were detected in Baden-Württemberg. A carnival event on 15 February in Heinsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, was attended by a man identified as positive on 25 February; in the outbreak which subsequently developed from infected participants, authorities were mostly no longer able to trace the likely chains of infections.
