Gerard is a Japanese progressive rock band. The current members are : * Toshio Egawa : keyboards * Kenichi Fujimoto (Ken☆Ken) : drums * Atsushi Hasegawa : bass Biography Gerard is led by the keyboardist Toshio Egawa. After being a member of Rumble in 1976, Fromage in 1976, Scheherazade from 1976, which became Novela in 1979 after a line-up change, he founded Gerard in 1983 with Yukihiro Fujimura (vocals and guitar), Masaki Tanimoto (drums), and Yasumasa Uotani (bass). The band made several gigs before recording their first album in spring 1984. The band released a second album in 1985. In 1986, their label King Records stopped supporting progressive music, and the band dissolved. Toshio Egawa joined the hard rock band Earthshaker. In 1990, Toshio Egawa reformed Gerard with Yukihiro Fujimura, Toshimi Nagai (bass) and Kota Igarashi (drums) for the album ''Irony of Fate''. Gerard McMahon
Gerard Thomas McMahon, also known as Gerard McMann and G Tom Mac, is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who specialises in creating music for films and TV. His gothic rock anthem "Cry Little Sister" was recorded in 1987 for the soundtrack album of the cult horror film ''The Lost Boys''. Early years Gerard McMahon emigrated with his family from England to America when he was eleven. Initially moving to New York City, the McMahons moved again a few years later, eventually settling in Wichita, Kansas. When McMahon, who lists amongst his musical influences Liam Mullen, John Lennon, Stevie Wonder and Stravinsky, was sixteen, he and his band, The Strangers, recorded a single ("Don't Ever Leave Me") before disbanding. __NOTOC__ Gerard is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located in the Riverland on the northern side of the Murray River about north-east of the state capital of Adelaide and about northwest of Loxton. Its boundaries were created on 12 August 1999. As of 2012, the land use within Gerard is divided between conservation and agriculture with the former being concerned with the floodplain. The title for land within Gerard held by the Aboriginal Lands Trust who has leased it to the Gerard Community Council. Gerard is located within the federal division of Barker, the state electoral district of Chaffey and the Pastoral Unincorporated Area of South Australia. The Gerard Community Council is a small, aboriginally controlled local government area located in The Riverland, South Australia. The community is dependent on the River Murray, with some horticulture and grazing in the district. Traditional crafts are also produced in the community, with part of the community economy derived from the sale of these to tourists. History The area was established when the United Aborigines Mission initiated the mission at Gerard in 1945 on over of land purchased downriver from Loxton. Gerard replaced the mission at Swan Reach and its inhabitants were moved to the Gerard mission. There was initially great hope for the mission, particularly after a very favourable assessment by CG Grasby, the District Horticultural Adviser, with a full report produced and guidelines for irrigation and plantings provided, and a start made with 300 grape vines. Gerard (crater)
Gerard is a lunar impact crater that lies along the western edge of the Oceanus Procellarum near the northwest limb of the Moon's near side. It is located to the north-northwest of the crater von Braun, and northeast of Bunsen. Because of its location, Gerard appears strongly foreshortened when viewed from the Earth, hindering observation. This is a worn and eroded formation with a rim that has been nearly obliterated in some locations and distorted in others. The northern half of the rim has outward bulges to the northeast, north, and northwest. The interior floor is rough in places, with several small and tiny craters along the floor and the eastern rim. There have been three baronetcies created for descendants of the ancient Lancashire family of Gerard. The Hotel Gerard, currently known as aka Times Square, is a historic hotel located in New York, New York. It had also operated at the Hotel Langwell and Hotel 1-2-3. The building was designed by George Keister and built in 1893. It is a 13-story, "U"-shaped, salmon colored brick and limestone building with German Renaissance style design elements. The front facade features bowed pairs of bay windows from the third to the sixth floor and the building is topped by steeply pointed front gables and a highly decorated dormer.
