George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946) is an American politician who served as the 43rd president of the United States from 2001 to 2009. A member of the Republican Party, Bush family, and son of the 41st president George H. W. Bush, he previously served as the 46th governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000. His works include 1959 documentary ''Mise Éire'' and ''Saoirse?''. Morrison was born in Tramore, County Waterford. His mother was an actress at Dublin's Gate Theatre, while his father worked as a neurological anaesthetist. Morrison studied medicine at Trinity College, Dublin but dropped out in order to pursue his ambition to work in films. Early in his career he assisted director Hilton Edwards in two of the latter's films: ''From Time to Time'' and ''Hamlet of Elsinore''. George Morrison (ice Hockey)
George Harold Morrison (December 24, 1948 – November 12, 2008) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played 115 games in the National Hockey League with the St. Louis Blues from 1970 to 1972 and 361 games in the World Hockey Association with the Minnesota Fighting Saints and Calgary Cowboys from 1972 to 1977. Early life Morrison was born in Toronto, Ontario. As a youth, Morrison played in the 1961 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Scarboro Lions. He played with the Denver Pioneers men's ice hockey team and was inducted into the Denver University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Career Morrison played for the St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Fighting Saints and Calgary Cowboys. In the last game of the 1973–74 WHA season, he set a WHA record for the fastest hat trick in league history, scoring three goals within 43 seconds. George Charles Morrison ''HRUA'' (27 June 1915 – 11 October 1993) was an Irish first-class cricketer, teacher, and landscape artist. He was a founding member of the Ulster Watercolour Society in 1976, and was tutor to the Civil Service Art Club, with whom he also exhibited. Early life Morrison was born at Downpatrick in June 1915, the eldest son of Mr & Mrs Thomas H Morrison. He was educated in Belfast at Methodist College, before going to Queen's University where he was to attain a Diploma in Education in 1937 and a Higher Diploma in Education in the following year. In 1950 Morrison married Persis Ross of Belfast. George William Morrison (born 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a right midfielder or right winger for side Tamworth, on loan from club Fleetwood Town. Born in England, he plays for the Scotland U18 national team at International level. Club career Morrison attended Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy in Lancaster, Lancashire and also played youth football for Lancaster City up to under-11 level. Whilst at Lancaster City, he was scouted by Fleetwood Town and joined the academy at the age of ten. Sir George Ivan Morrison (born 31 August 1945), known professionally as Van Morrison, is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose recording career spans seven decades. He has won two Grammy Awards. As a teenager in the late 1950s, he played a variety of instruments such as guitar, harmonica, keyboards and saxophone for several Irish showbands, covering the popular hits of that time. George Morrison (September 30, 1919 – April 17, 2000) was an Ojibwe landscape painter and sculptor from Minnesota. His Ojibwe name was Wah Wah Teh Go Nay Ga Bo (Standing In the Northern Lights). Morrison is associated with the individualist modern art movement of artists who wished to be known apart from contemporary movements or their backgrounds. He is well known for wood collage sculptures and for the landscape paintings he preferred.
