George Moore (radio Presenter)
George Moore (formerly known as Les Pridmore), was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. He has been on Australian radio for 40 years as a DJ, Announcer and Radio show host. He originally started his radio career at 2WG in Wagga Wagga during the late 1960s. During his time there he was also a singer with a popular Wagga rock band, "Lost & Found". Since then he has worked in Sydney radio stations with stints at 2SM, 2Day FM, 2UW/Mix 106.5,2UE and finally with 2GB where he co-hosted the weekend breakfast show with Paul B. Wagga Wagga (; informally called Wagga) is a major regional city in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. Radio in Sydney became a popular tool for politics, news, religion, and sport and has managed to survive despite the introduction of television and the internet. The first long range (520 km) coastal radio station was established in 1911. In 1921, amateur radio broadcasters commenced transition. 2Day FM (call sign 2DAY) is a commercial FM radio station broadcasting in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on a frequency of 104.1 MHz, and is part of Southern Cross Austereo's Hit Network. History 1980s 2Day FM was one of three radio stations (along with Triple M and Triple J) to be granted new FM broadcasting licenses in Sydney in 1980, and commenced broadcasting on 2 August of that year.
