George Washington Hays
George Washington Hays (September 23, 1863September 15, 1927) was an American politician who served as the 24th Governor of Arkansas from 1913 to 1917. Biography Hays was born in Camden, Arkansas. He attended public schools in Camden and worked as a farmer, store clerk and teacher Hays studied law at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and opened his own law practice in Camden. He was married to Ida Virginia Yarborough and had 2 children. Career Hays was probate and county judge for Ouachita County, Arkansas between 1900 and 1905. Hays served as a judge with the Thirteenth Circuit Court from 1906 to 1913. When Governor Joseph Taylor Robinson resigned in 1913 to serve in the United States Senate, a special election was held and Hays was elected governor. His administration focused on road improvement and enactment of a statewide prohibition law. George Price Hays
Lieutenant general (United States), Lieutenant General George Price Hays (September 27, 1892 – August 7, 1978) was a United States Army general who served during World War I and World War II. He earned the Medal of Honor as a young artillery officer during the Second Battle of the Marne in World War I. During World War II, he commanded the 10th Mountain Division in the last few months of the Italian campaign (World War II), Italian Campaign. Military career Hays was born on September 27, 1892, in China, where his parents worked as Presbyterianism, Presbyterian missionaries. He was raised in El Reno, Oklahoma, and attended Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) before leaving school to enlist for World War I. George Hays (American Football)
George Hays (August 29, 1924 – April 20, 2007) was a defensive end in the National Football League. Biography Hays was born George William Hays in Glassport, Pennsylvania. Hays was inducted into the Mon Valley Sports Hall of Fame on December 16, 1977, at the Big Ten Banquet. Career George Hays served in the US Army during World War II. He played football at the collegiate level at St. Bonaventure University. Then he spent three seasons (1950–1952) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, before playing his final season with the Green Bay Packers in 1953. Consolidated National Bank
Consolidated National Bank of New York was a bank operating in New York City. Also referred to in the press as Consolidated National Bank, the institution was organized on July 1, 1902, with capital of $1 million. Wrote ''The New York Times'', the bank was "founded with the idea of cornering the business of the Consolidated Exchange and its brokers." The bank opened for business at 57 Broadway on September 22, 1902, and a year later the bank took out a five-year lease at the Exchange Court Building. In 1906, the Consolidated Stock Exchange withdrew its deposits with the Consolidated National Bank. In 1909, the bank voted to acquire the assets of Oriental Bank and merge them with Consolidated, creating the National Reserve Bank. The Consolidated name was operative for a short time afterwards.
