George Fleming (born 20 May 1869 in Bannockburn, Scotland) was a Scottish footballer who played as a defender for Liverpool in The Football League. Fleming started his career at East Stirlingshire, before he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club (), commonly known as Wolves, is a professional football club based in Wolverhampton, England, which compete in the . Bannockburn (Scottish Gaelic ''Allt a' Bhonnaich'') is an area immediately south of the centre of Stirling in Scotland. It is part of the City of Stirling. It is named after the Bannock Burn, a stream running through the town before flowing into the River Forth.
