This is a list of islands and other locations in the ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' film series. Davy Jones' Locker Davy Jones' Locker, based on a real superstition of the same name, is a fictional place introduced in ''Dead Man's Chest'' and featured prominently in '' At World's End''. The Locker is similar to purgatory, and is the destination for souls that die at sea. Davy Jones was entrusted with the task of ferrying the souls of the deceased into the next world by the goddess Calypso. After Jack Sparrow is killed by the Kraken at the end of ''Dead Man's Chest'', Calypso organizes a mission to rescue his soul from the Locker back to the land of the living. The green flash and green ray are meteorological optical phenomena that sometimes occur transiently around the moment of sunset or sunrise. Exuma
Exuma is a district of The Bahamas, consisting of over 365 islands, also called cays. The largest of the cays is Great Exuma, which is 37 mi (60 km) in length and joined to another island, Little Exuma, by a small bridge. The capital and largest town in the district is George Town (population 1,437). It was founded 1793 and located on Great Exuma. Near the town, but on Little Exuma, the Tropic of Cancer runs across Pelican Beach lending it another name: Tropic of Cancer Beach. Vieille Case, sometimes spelled as Vielle-Case, is a village on the north coast of Dominica. The Commonwealth of Dominica in the West Indies was first inhabited by the Kalinago tribe referred to by the Europeans as Caribs. Itassi (pronounced: e-tassy) is the Kalinago name for the area in Dominica which is now known as Vieille Case. An audio commentary is an additional audio track, usually digital, consisting of a lecture or comments by one or more speakers, that plays in real time with a video. Terry Rossio
Terry Rossio (born July 2, 1960) is an American screenwriter. He co-wrote the films ''Aladdin'', ''Shrek'', and all five of the ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' series. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for ''Shrek'', and won the Annie Award for Writing in a Feature Production, as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for ''Shrek''. Ted Elliott (born July 4, 1961) is an American screenwriter and film producer. Along with his writing partner Terry Rossio, Elliott has written some of the most successful American films of the past 30 years, including ''Aladdin'' (1992), ''Shrek'' (2001) and the ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' series (2003-11). He was attached to write a feature version of ''Monkey Island'', which never happened.
