Club General Belgrano de Santa Rosa is a football team from Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina. Background Club Defensores de Belgrano was founded on 28 April 1919 in Santa Rosa, the capital of the La Pampa Province. The club name was later shortened to Club General Belgrano and the nickname of ''Tricolores'' was adopted reflecting the three colours of black, red and white on the club shirt. The team's original league was the Liga Cultural de Fútbol de La Pampa. From 1995/96 to 2000/01 the club spent 6 seasons in the Torneo Argentino A. The club is located in Av. Belgrano Norte 730 in the neighborhood Villa Alonso. There is a sports/leisure hall, a buffet, a swimming pool, a stadium (known as Nuevo Rancho Grande) with a capacity of around 12,000 people, training facilities and a BMX track. Santa Rosa () is a city in the Argentine Pampas (lowlands), and the capital of La Pampa Province, Argentina. It lies on the east of the province, on the shore of the Don Tomás Lagoon, at the intersection of National Routes 5 and 35. La Pampa () is a sparsely populated province of Argentina, located in the Pampas in the center of the country. Neighboring provinces are from the north clockwise San Luis, Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Río Negro, Neuquén and Mendoza. The Torneo Argentino A (in English "Argentine A Tournament") was one of the two leagues that formed the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system. Clubs in the Torneo Argentino have indirect membership in AFA, while clubs in the Primera B Metropolitana (the other third division) have direct membership in AFA. Club Atlético Santa Rosa, known simply as Atlético Santa Rosa, is an Argentine football club based in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. The team currently plays in the Liga Cultural de Fútbol de La Pampa, a regional league of Argentina, where has won 10 titles to date. In 1983, Atlético Santa Rosa qualified to play in the 1983 Campeonato Nacional of the Argentine Primera División. However, the team was eliminated after losing all six of their games.
