Gautamiputra Satakarni (film)
''Gautamiputra Satakarni'' () is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language epic historical action film produced by Y. Rajeev Reddy, Jagarlamudi Saibabu on First Frame Entertainment banner and directed by Krish. Based on the life of 2nd century CE Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni, the film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role, alongside Shriya Saran, and Hema Malini. It marks Balakrishna's 100th film as an actor. The music is composed by Chirantan Bhatt. Plot Gautamiputra Satakarni is the 2nd century CE Satavahana ruler of Amaravati whose dream is to unite all of the 32 kingdoms in the country to stop internal skirmishes and establish peace. Chirantan Bhatt
Chirrantan Bhatt is an Indian musician, composer and singer. He is active in the Indian film industry, Bollywood, and has also composed music for Telugu films. He is best nown for his melody compositions. He is a member of the Gujarati Bhatt family, noted film-makers and directors in Bollywood cinema, and is the grandson of Vijay Bhatt. Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (born 11 November 1978), better known as Krish Jagarlamudi or Krish, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works predominantly in Telugu cinema in addition to Hindi and Tamil films. Amaravati () is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the river Krishna in Guntur district. Tanikella Bharani (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, poet, playwright and director who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. A ''bhikkhu'' (Pali: भिक्खु, Sanskrit: भिक्षु, ''bhikṣu'') is an ordained male in Buddhist monasticism. Sindhu Kingdom or simply Sindhu was an ancient kingdom on the Indian subcontinent. It stretched the banks of river Sindhu (Indus). It was mentioned in the epic ''Mahabharata'' and in the ''Harivamsa Purana,'' often alongside the Sauvira Kingdom. It is believed that Sindhu kingdom was founded by Vrishadarbha, one of sons of Sivi. Ugadi or Yugadi, also known as Samvatsarādi (), is New Year's Day according to the Hindu calendar and is celebrated in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka in India. Rajasuya () is a Śrauta ritual of the Vedic religion. It is ceremony that marks a consecration of a king. According to the Puranas, it refers to a great sacrifice performed by a Chakravarti - universal monarch, in which the tributary princes may also take part, at the time of his coronation, as a mark of his undisputed sovereignty.
