Gasimov Brothers
Gasimov brothers were the co-owners of the "Gasimov Brothers and Co" construction company, which carried out the construction of most of the buildings in Baku in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. The brothers built such monumental buildings as Ismailia, the Palace of Happiness, Saadat Palace, the New Europe Hotel, and the Mitrofanov Residence, Mitrofanov Palace. According to Fuad Akhundov, Gasimovs, who built most of the houses of Musa Naghiyev in Baku, carried out the construction work of all buildings raised at that time on the current streets of Istiglaliyyat Street, Istiglalliyyat, and 28 May Street, 28 May. Barda, Azerbaijan
Barda ( az, Bərdə ) is a city and the capital of the Barda District in Azerbaijan, located south of Yevlax and on the left bank of the Tartar river. It served as the capital of Caucasian Albania by the end of the 5th-century. Barda became the chief city of the Islamic province of Arran, the classical Caucasian Albania, remaining so until the tenth century. Alexander Dubov
Alexander Yakovlevich Dubov was a builder and architect who worked in Baku from 1904 until the end of his life, where he participated in the construction of a number of monumental buildings in the city. He was also engaged in the restoration of some houses, in particular, in 1922-1923, the Ismailiyya Palace, burned down during the March Days of 1918. Ismailiyya Palace
The Ismailiyya Palace ( az, İsmailiyyə Sarayı) is a historical building that currently serves as the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. It is on Istiglaliyyat Street in Baku. The palace was constructed for the Muslim Charity Society by Józef Plośko at the expense of the millionaire Musa Naghiyev in commemoration of his deceased son Ismayil, and was named Ismailiyya after him. Gani Mammadov Residence
Gani Mammadov residence ( az, Qəni Məmmədovun evi ) is a former residential building located in Icherisheher – the historical district of Baku, on 45 Asaf Zeynalli Str. It is considered an architectural monument of local importance. Nizami Street ( az, Nizami küçəsi) is a large pedestrian and shopping street in downtown Baku, Azerbaijan, named after classical Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi.
