Garry A. Brown was the chairman of the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) from January 2008 to October 2013. He was named to the post in January 2008 by Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer to succeed outgoing Chairwoman Patricia Acampora. He was replaced by Audrey Zibelman. The New York Public Service Commission is the public utilities commission of the New York state government that regulates and oversees the electric, gas, water, and telecommunication industries in New York as part of the Department of Public Service. Eliot Laurence Spitzer (born June 10, 1959) is an American politician and attorney. Patricia Acompora
Patricia L. Acampora (born December 10, 1945) was appointed as a commissioner of the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) on June 16, 2005, by Gov. George Pataki, for a term ending February 1, 2009. In December 2006, Pataki named Acampora to chair the PSC, a position she held until January 2008, when Gov. Eliot Spitzer appointed Garry A.
