Gamer
A gamer is a proactive hobbyist who plays interactive games, especially video games, tabletop role-playing games, and skill-based card games, and who plays for usually long periods of time. Some gamers are competitive, meaning they routinely compete in some games for money, prizes, awards or the mere pleasure of competition and overcoming obstacles. In some countries such as the UK and Australia, the term "gaming" can refer to legalized gambling, which can take both traditional and digital forms, through online gambling. There are many different gamer communities around the world. Since the advent of the Internet, many communities take the form of Internet forums or YouTube or Twitch virtual communities, as well as in-person social clubs. Rapture TV was a previously free-to-air satellite television station (although now an exclusively online channel) operated from the United Kingdom, founded in 1997. Focusing mostly on electronic dance music and extreme sports, it is notable for the number of times it has "failed" financially only to be relaunched. History The channel was initially launched by the United Business Media group as a cable television channel on 22 November 1997. Due to common UBM ownership, the channel shared facilities with and was broadcast from the Anglia Television studios in Norwich. Gamers (US Retailer)
Gamers was Nebraska's oldest video game store EST. in 1993 by Dale Miller. Gamers at its peak had 14 locations, 5 being in Nebraska and the rest being in Iowa. Gamers originated in Omaha, NE at its first location off 72nd and Dodge. On September 26, 2018, Gamers was foreclosed on, permanently closing all of its remaining locations. 5 months later, Gamers returned under new ownership, with some locations reopened, along with some new locations. On February 13, 2023, Gamers announced on their Facebook page that they are closing once again. On March 16 of the same year they are permanently closed. is a Japanese light novel series, written by Sekina Aoi and illustrated by Saboten. Fujimi Shobo published twelve volumes from March 2015 to October 2019, under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. An anime television series adaptation by Pine Jam aired from July to September 2017.
