The Galicia women's football team is the official football team of the Spanish Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Galicia (Spain), Galicia. It is organised by the Galician Football Federation. It is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA and therefore it is only allowed to play friendly matches. Galician Football Federation
The Royal Galician Football Federation ( gl, Real Federación Galega de Fútbol, es, Real Federación Gallega de Fútbol; RFGF) is the governing body of the sport of football in Galicia, Spain. The RFGF organises Group 1 of the Tercera División, with the assistance of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), as part of the Spanish football league system. It also organises the Copa Galiza and regional divisions of Galicia independently from the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The RFGF, which also administered the Championship of Galicia (a regional league competition whose best teams qualified for the Copa del Rey) until the end of the 1930s, was founded in 1909 and is based in A Coruña. Pilar Neira
Pilar Neira is a Spanish football coach and former player who coaches the Galicia women's national team. As a player, Neira won two Spanish championships as part of Karbo C.F. in 1976–77 and 1981–82. As a member of that team, she also took part in two Five Nations tournaments. She worked in children's schools for over 40 years, first as an educator and later as a director. She also trained 11 indoor football teams. She joined the Galicia women's national team as coach in 2007, becoming one of the first four women to become a coach in Spain.
