Gabonese Constitutional Referendum, 1995
A constitutional referendum was held in Gabon on 23 July 1995. The vote sought public opinion on the implementation of the Paris Accords, which advised that constitutional reforms agreed to by the government and opposition during negotiations the previous year should be put into place. Gabon (; ; snq, Ngabu), officially the Gabonese Republic (french: République gabonaise), is a country on the west coast of Central Africa. Located on the equator, it is bordered by Equatorial Guinea to the northwest, Cameroon to the north, the Republic of the Congo on the east and south, and the Gulf of Guinea to the west.
