G.T. Moore
Gerald Thomas Moore (born 2 May 1949) is an English singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist with a recording career that stretches back to the early 1970s. Moore recorded and performed with numerous musicians such as Jimmy Cliff, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Thin Lizzy, Johnny Nash, and Joan Baez, Retrieved 2014-09-09 and Airto Moreira covered his songs. Early life and career Moore was born in Reading, Berkshire, England. Moore started playing about the age of 14 at the English Martyrs Youth Club, Tilehurst. The first band was called The Missing Links but they quickly changed the name to The Muddy Waters and eventually stayed with the name: The Delta Sound. James Edward Lascelles (born 5 October 1953) is a British musician and the second son of the 7th Earl of Harewood and his first wife, Marion. Lascelles is a second cousin once to King Charles III. Music When young, Lascelles had classical piano and drum lessons, and claims that "John Tavener 'taught' him to improvise" by performing duets on a church organ. He then became interested in jazz, blues, and rock and roll. The Upsetters
The Upsetters was the name given to the house band for Jamaican reggae producer Lee "Scratch" Perry. The name of the band comes from Perry's nickname of Upsetter, after his song "I Am the Upsetter", a musical dismissal of his former boss Coxsone Dodd. History The Upsetters were originally Gladdy's All-Stars, led by pianist Gladstone Anderson and it was they who originally recorded the international hits "Live Injection" and "Return of Django". In the late 1960s, he started as a professional musician, playing bass for bands/artists such as Blackwell, Bloontz, John Martyn amongst others.
