Gurumukh Sajanmal Sainani is an Indian general physician, medical researcher, medical writer and an Emeritus Professor of thNational Academy of Medical Sciences He is a former director of the All India Heart Foundation and the incumbent director of Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. He is a recipient of the highest Indian award in the medical category, Dr. B. C. Roy Award, from the Medical Council of India and the rank of Honorary Brigadier from the President of India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 2000. Biography Sainani, after graduating in medicine with a first class which earned him the ''Prince of Wales Prize'', continued his studies to obtain a PhD from Pune University. Larkana
Larkana ( ur, , translit=lāṛkāna; sd, لاڙڪاڻو, translit=lāṛkāṇo) is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the 15th largest city of Pakistan by population. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is a national voluntary organisation of physicians in India. It was established in 1928 as the All India Medical Association, and was renamed the Indian Medical Association in 1930. It is a society registered under The Societies Act of India. Background The Indian Medical Association has approximately 350,000 member doctors in 1,700 active local branches in 29 states and union territories in India. It is the largest association of medical doctors in India. Previously stationed out of Calcutta, the IMA is headquartered in New Delhi.
