Füsun Eczacıbaşı
Füsun Eczacıbaşı (born Füsun Alpsoy) is a architect, art collector, and patron of the arts from Turkey. She is the co-founder and chairperson of the SAHA Association for the Arts. Personal history Füsun Eczacıbaşı attended Kadikoy Maarif College and the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. She received her MSc in Architecture in 1986. Füsun Eczacıbaşı has been actively involved in many NGOs focusing on human rights, minority rights, nature preservation, and education. She is married to Faruk Eczacıbaşı, vice chairperson of Eczacıbaşı Holding, with whom she shares an enthusiasm for the arts. Their collection has been expanding since the late 1980s and focuses on contemporary art by emerging and established contemporary artists from Turkey and abroad. Füsun Köksal
Füsun Köksal (born 1973) is a Turkish composer of contemporary classical music. Köksal was born and grew up in Bursa, Turkey and attended Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in Ankara from 1989 to 1996, where she earned her bachelor's degree in music theory and composition, studying under the supervision of Bujor Hoinic. From 1996 to 2002 she lived in Cologne, Germany, where she studied composition with Krzysztof Meyer and theory with Johannes Schild, earning a Diplom Musikerin from the Hochschule für Musik Köln. In 2002 she returned to Bilkent University, where she taught composition for three years. In 2004, she matriculated into the doctoral program at the University of Chicago, where she has studied with Marta Ptaszynska and Shulamit Ran. Füsun Onur
Füsun Onur (born 1938) is a Turkish artist, based in Istanbul. She uses everyday materials in her painting and sculpture to reflect on space, time, rhythm and form. Early life and education Onur was born in Kuzguncuk, Istanbul. She attended the Department of Sculpture at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts, where she was a student of Ali Hadi Bara. Rewarded a Fulbright scholarship, she continued her master's degree in sculpture at Maryland College of Art, Department of Sculpture where she graduates in 1967. Works Onur's early works come in the form of abstract geometric sculptures. Füsun Önal
Füsun Önal (born 11 March 1947, Kadıköy, Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish pop singer, theatre actress, and writer. Biography Önal's father was a soldier in the Turkish army; her mother was a housewife. Füsun grew up in Ankara. During her childhood, she played the mandolin and accordion. She also had private piano lessons, and studied classical music. Önal graduated from the TED Ankara College and studied English philology at Ankara University. During her college years, she sang with the Erol Pekcan Jazz Orchestra. Subsequently, she moved to Istanbul and sang pop music in İstanbul's well-known venues. Önal performed at youth concerts, and produced radio and television programs. Füsun Sayek
Füsun Sayek (August 11, 1947 – October 15, 2006) was a Turkish female ophthalmologist and chairperson of the Turkish Medical Association. Füsun Sayek was born in Bor, Niğde on August 11, 1947, where her father was serving. She completed her primary education in Bor and the middle school in Diyarbakır. In 1964, she finished high school in Ankara. She studied medicine at Hacettepe University, and graduated in 1970. The career education, which she began at her alma mater in 1971, she continued in the State of New York, in the United States until 1976. In 1981 she became a specialist in ophthalmology. She obtained a certificate for community eye healthcare in England in 1986.
