Fátima (Buenos Aires Premetro)
Nuestra Señora de Fátima (commonly known as Fátima) is a station on the Buenos Aires Premetro. It was opened on 13 March 2000 by the Buenos Aires Underground operator Metrovías and is one of only two Premetro stations (the other being Pola) to have been opened after the original inauguration of the Premetro in 1987. The station is located in the Barrio of Villa Soldati. Side Platforms
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Side platforms may result in a wider overall footprint for the station compared with an island platform where a single width of platform can be shared by riders using either track. The Premetro is a light rail line that runs along the outskirts of Buenos Aires, connecting with the Buenos Aires Underground line E, at Plaza de los Virreyes station and then to General Savio, with a short branch to Centro Cívico. It opened in 1987 and is operated by Metrovías. Buenos Aires Underground
The Buenos Aires Underground ( es, Subterráneo de Buenos Aires, links=no), locally known as Subte (), is a rapid transit system that serves the area of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Metrovías S.A. is an Argentine privately owned company that operates the Buenos Aires Underground and the Metropolitan services of the Urquiza Line. 90% of Metrovías' shares are held by Grupo Roggio. Villa Soldati
Villa Soldati is a neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the South-West of the city. It has a population of approximately 41,000 people, 40% of which live in Barrio Soldati, a public housing development built between 1973 and 1979. The ward is delimited by 27 de Febrero Ave., Coronel Esteban Bonorino, General Francisco Fernández de la Cruz Ave., Varela, Perito Moreno Ave., Castañares, and Escalada streets. Founded in 1908 by Dr. José Soldati as "Villa Lugano," the area originally included what today is the Villa Lugano neighborhood. Intendente Pedro Luis Saguier (commonly referred to as Intendente Saguier) is a station on the Buenos Aires Premetro The Premetro is a light rail line that runs along the outskirts of Buenos Aires, connecting with the Buenos Aires Underground line E, at Plaza de los Virreyes station and then to General Savio, with a short branch to Centro Cívico. It opened .... It is the terminal station and connects with Line E at Plaza de los Virreyes. It was opened on 29 April 1987 together with the other Premetro stations. It was announced in 2015 that the station would be completely rebuilt as part of plans to renew and refurbish the Premetro. The refurbished station was opened on 14 October 2015 and it was revealed that a second phase of construction will add a third set of rails and extend the existing platforms, as well as improving the area surrounding the station.
