Siaosi ʻAlokuoʻulu Wycliffe Fusituʻa
Siaosi ‘Alokuo’ulu Wycliffe Fusitu’a, styled Lord Fusitu’a (27 January 1927 – 24 April 2014) was a Tongan politician and noble. He was Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga from 1990 to 1998. Early life Fusitu’a was born a commoner and was adopted by Tevita ʻAlokuoʻulu. He was educated at Wesley College, Auckland, the University of Auckland, and Australian National University, where he studied law. He worked in the Printing Department and then for the Supreme Court of Tonga as an interpreter. In 1967 he married 'Eseta Fusitu'a. He was appointed to the noble title of Fusitu’a in 1981. Political career He was first elected into Parliament as the Niuas Nobles' constituency, Niuas Noble Representative in the 1981 Tongan general election. He lost his seat in the 1987 Tongan general election, 1987 election to Fatafehi 'Alaivahamama'o Tuku'aho, Lord Ma'atu. David Fusitu'a
David Fusitu'a (born 16 October 1994) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and for Leeds Rhinos in Super League and for both Tonga national rugby league team, Tonga and New Zealand national rugby league team, New Zealand at international level. Background Fusitu'a was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Early years Fusitu'a attended Kelston Boys' High School and played junior football for the Marist Saints. Playing career Fusitu'a was signed by the New Zealand Warriors and played for the Junior Warriors in 2012 as a 17-year-old. In 2013 he played in the side that lost the 2013 NRL Under-20s season, Holden Cup Grand Final and also spent time with the Auckland Vulcans in the NSW Cup. 'Eseta Fusitu'a
Eseta Fuafolau Vakapuna a Ngu Fusitua, styled Dowager Lady Fusitua is a Tongan former teacher, government official and Cabinet Minister. She was the first Tongan woman to obtain a bachelor's degree. Early life and education Eseta Fusituan obtained an undergraduate degree from Auckland University in New Zealand in 1964. A year later she obtained a New Zealand teaching diploma. In 1967 she married Siaosi Alokuoulu Wycliffe Fusitua, a large landowner on Niuafoou island who would be made Lord Fusitua in 1981 and represented the Niuas Nobles' constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Tonga. They had two children. Her husband died in 2014 at the age of 87, from which time she became known as the Dowager Lady Fusitua. Fusitua was an assistant teacher at Tonga High School from 1965 to 1967, before becoming a member of staff of St. Edmunds College in Canberra as a history teacher in 1973.
