''Further'' is the seventh studio album by The Chemical Brothers, released on 14 June 2010. The album title and release date were announced on the band's official website on 30 March 2010. All 8 tracks from the album are accompanied by corresponding films, made specifically to match them, by Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall. The main character of the films is portrayed by actress Romola Garai. The woman on the album cover is aquatic athlete Jenny Godding, who also body doubled for the underwater portions of the music videos. Background The album, along with its visuals, was released as a bonus DVD on deluxe edition, as an iTunes LP, and as an iTunes Pass feature in US only. As a part of the iTunes Pass program, those who purchased it received an unreleased track, named "Pourquoi", on 29 June 2010. The Chemical Brothers
The Chemical Brothers are an English electronic music duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons in Manchester in 1989. They were pioneers (along with the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, the Crystal Method, and other acts) in bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture. After attracting Virgin Records, the duo achieved further success with second album ''Dig Your Own Hole'' (1997), which topped the UK Albums Chart, UK charts. In the UK, they have had six No. 1 albums and 13 top-20 singles, including two chart-toppers. Their name came about in 1995 after they dropped their original moniker the Dust Brothers due to the Dust Brothers, existence of a different band with the same name. It generally provides readers with band interviews, photos, and relevant news. It was founded in 1985 by Mike Shea in Cleveland, OH. The company is now looked after by MDDN. Beginnings The first issue of ''Alternative Press'' was distributed at concerts in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in June 1985 by ''APs founder, Mike Shea to advocate bands playing underground music. La Roux
La Roux ( ) is an English synthpop act formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. The act's debut album ''La Roux'' (2009) was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as " In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Recording of a follow-up album was marred by unsuccessful collaborations, the cancellation of two planned release dates, and reported conflict between the duo. Bruce Woolley
Bruce Martin Woolley (born 11 November 1953) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He wrote songs with artists such as The Buggles and Grace Jones, including "Video Killed the Radio Star" and " Slave to the Rhythm", and co-founded The Radio Science Orchestra. Early life Woolley was born in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England on 11 November 1953 and educated at Loughborough Grammar School, where he learned electric guitar. Stephanie Dosen (born May 12, 1973) is an American singer-songwriter, knitwear designer and member of the band Snowbird. She was raised in Wisconsin.
