Fun Size Horror
Fun Size Horror is a collective of filmmakers, led by Zeke Pinheiro, Mali Elfman, and Michael May. The collective's purpose is to create short films that will "explore horror from every angle." Pinheiro first came up with the idea after realizing that he knew several filmmakers that wanted to "create their own thing and all love horror, but were never given a platform". The collective's initial goal was to create thirty-one horror films by Halloween 2015, but has since expanded to include the creation of additional short horror films. In March 2016 the collective launched an Indiegogo crowdsourcing campaign, with the goal to use the funding to change the collective and website's infrastructure and produce more content. To date two volumes of the shorts have been released for live-streaming through online outlets such as Amazon and Hulu. A collective is a group of entities that share or are motivated by at least one common issue or interest, or work together to achieve a common objective. Short Film
A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35 mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels. "Short" was an abbreviation for either term. The increasingly rare industry term "short subject" carries more of an assumption that the film is shown as part of a presentation along with a feature film. Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people, typically via the internet. Crowdfunding is a form of crowdsourcing and alternative finance. In 2015, over was raised worldwide by crowdfunding. Keir David Peters Gilchrist (; born 28 September 1992) is a Canadian actor and musician. Ben Rekhi is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known for '' Waterborne'' (2005), ''Fun Size Horror: Volume One'' (2015), and ''The Ashram'' (2018). Patrick Rea is an American producer, writer and director. Career Rea began creating short films in 2002. He collaborated with Ryan Jones and Josh Robison to found the company SenoReality Pictures, which was a winner in Fangoria's Blood Drive contest. He continued to direct short films, some of which have screened at festivals such as Shriekfest LA and have shown on FangoriaTV, Horror Channel and n8studios.com. The film was premiered at the KC Creepfest on October 28, 2011, and stars Tyler Hollinger and Elizabeth Masucci.
