Fumiyuki Beppu
Fumiyuki Beppu ( ja, 別府史之; born 10 April 1983) is a Japanese former professional road bicycle racer, who last rode for UCI WorldTeam . His older brother is the cyclist Takumi Beppu. Career Team Discovery (2005–2007) Beppu turned professional with in 2005, and stayed with them until 2007. In June 2006, Beppu was crowned the Japanese national champion in both the time trial and the road race. On 28 September 2007, the professional cycling team announced that they had signed Beppu for an initial one-year contract. Skil-Shimano (2008–2009) On 26 July 2009, Beppu, riding for , finished 112th out of 180 riders in the Tour de France. He won the Combativity award in the final 21st flat stage from Montereau-Fault-Yonne to Paris Champs-Élysées. He also placed 8th in stage 3 and 7th in stage 19. 2015 Brabantse Pijl
The 2015 Brabantse Pijl was the 55th edition of the Brabantse Pijl road cycling race. Held on 15 April 2015, it started in Leuven and ended later in Overijse. It was a 1.HC-ranked race that was part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour. The main difficulty in the race was caused by 26 climbs, as well as twisting roads in the final part of the route. The race was won from the breakaway by Ben Hermans (). A group of fourteen riders finished two seconds behind, with Michael Matthews () second and the defending champion Philippe Gilbert () third. Yukiya Arashiro
is a Japanese road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture, Arashiro was the Japanese Under-23 National Time Trial and Road Race Champion in 2005. He has also won the Japanese National Road Race Championships three times, in 2007, 2013 and 2022. In 2009 he was selected by his team to ride the Tour de France. Along with Fumiyuki Beppu, he was the first Japanese national to complete that race, as on prior occasions Kisso Kawamuro and Daisuke Imanaka had started, but not finished, the race. By finishing the 2010 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Japanese person to finish two Grand Tour events. He recorded a third-place stage finish on the fifth stage, behind breakaway companions Jérôme Pineau and Julien Fouchard. He completed his third Tour de France in 2012 in 84th place—the highest placing of a Japanese person at that time—and earned the most combative award on Stage 4. The 2016 Vuelta a España was a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race that took place in Spain between 20 August and 11 September 2016. The race was the 71st edition of the Vuelta a España and the final Grand Tour of the 2016 cycling season. The race included 21 stages, beginning with a team time trial that started in Ourense. The subsequent stages included 10 summit finishes. The race ended in Madrid.
