Adam Kelso Fulton
Adam Kelso Fulton (10 April 1929 – 27 August 1994) was a Scottish rugby union internationalist. International career Positioned as scrum-half, he was capped twice playing both games against France at Murrayfield in 1952 and 1954. The initial selection match reunited the successful university pairing of Fulton and JNG Davidson, and was where both had the “distinction of gaining “caps” on the strength of one trial”. This was also the first international club partnership to be established since H Waddell and JB Nelson of Glasgow Academicals some 25 years prior. Catherine Henrietta Elliot Fulton (née Valpy, 19 December 1829 – 6 May 1919) was a New Zealand diarist, community leader, philanthropist, social reformer and suffragist. She was a founding member of the Dunedin chapter of Women's Christian Temperance Union of New Zealand (WCTU NZ) in 1885 and national president of the WCTU NZ from 1889 to 1892. Early life Fulton was one of six children born to William Henry Valpy and Caroline Valpy (née Jeffreys). She was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire or in Reading, Berkshire, England on 19 December 1829. She was educated in England and arrived in New Zealand on the ''Ajax'' in January 1849. Edmund Davie Fulton, (March 10, 1916 – May 22, 2000) was a Canadian Rhodes Scholar, politician and judge. He was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, the son of politician/lawyer Frederick John Fulton and Winnifred M. Davie, daughter of A. E. B. Davie. He was the youngest of 4 children. Craig Fulton (born 6 November 1974) is a former South Africa men's field hockey international and a former coach of the Ireland men's national field hockey team. As a player he represented South Africa at the 1996 and 2004 Summer Olympics and at the 2002 Men's Hockey World Cup. His brother, Grant, and his wife, Natalie, were also South Africa field hockey internationals. In 2004 Fulton and his wife became the first married couple to represent South Africa at the same Olympic Games.
