Full Gear (2023)
The 2023 Full Gear was the fifth annual Full Gear professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Kia Forum in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California. Eleven matches were contested at the event, including three on the "Zero Hour" pre-show. In the main event, MJF defeated Jay White to retain the AEW World Championship. In other prominent matches, "Timeless" Toni Storm defeated Hikaru Shida to win her record-tying third AEW Women's World Championship and Swerve Strickland defeated "Hangman" Adam Page in a Texas Death match. The event was also notable for the signing of international wrestler Will Ospreay to AEW. Ospreay had been competing on AEW programming while he was under contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). He officially joined the AEW roster in February 2024 after his NJPW contract expired. Jay White
Jamie White (born 9 October 1992), better known by the ring name Jay White (ジェイ・ホワイト ''Jei Howaito''), is a New Zealand professional wrestler signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he is current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in his first reign. He also makes appearances for Impact Wrestling. After starting his career in 2013, White joined NJPW the following year as a Young Lion. In June 2016, White left for an overseas excursion, during which he worked for the American Ring of Honor (ROH) and the British Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW) promotions through NJPW's international partnerships. White eventually returned to NJPW in November 2017 and won the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship the following January. "Hangman" Adam Page
Stephen Blake Woltz (born July 27, 1991), better known by his ring name "Hangman" Adam Page, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion. Woltz began his career in 2008, working on the independent circuit as Adam Page. In 2011, he began to appear in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he stayed for seven years. In 2016, Page joined the villainous stable Bullet Club, having a big push in the promotion. After he joined, he changed his gimmick to "Hangman" Adam Page, a cowboy-inspired character. Along with Bullet Club members The Young Bucks, Page won the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. Page also worked with the Japanese promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), since ROH had an agreement with NJPW. Another term sometimes used for these publications is "rag sheet." The 2023 All In, also promoted as All In London at Wembley Stadium or simply All In London, was the second All In professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event. It was the first edition of the event to be produced by the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) after the inaugural All In was held independently in September 2018, which subsequently inspired the formation of AEW in January 2019. The event took place during the United Kingdom's August Bank Holiday weekend on August 27, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The event was established by the promotion in 2020 and is held annually in late February–early March. The 2021 event was AEW's first PPV held on a Sunday. AEW Double or Nothing is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Established in 2019, it is held annually during Memorial Day weekend. The inaugural Double or Nothing was also the very first PPV as well as the very first event produced by AEW and is thus considered the promotion's marquee event. It is also considered one of the "Big Four" PPVs for AEW, along with All Out, Full Gear, and Revolution, the company's four biggest shows produced quarterly.
