The Fujifilm X-A2 is a rangefinder-styled digital mirrorless camera announced by Fujifilm on January 15, 2015, and released in the UK on March 1, 2015. Features The Fujifilm X-A2 is the first X-mount camera with a 175° LCD screen. It is aimed at the growing selfie market, with new face detection and eye detection autofocus modes, for sharper results when taking Self portraits. It was also among the one of the first of the X-mount line up to have the new Chrome film simulation as a preset The Fujifilm X-A2 sports a regular Bayer filter sensor array, as opposed to the X-Trans sensor that is typical among the X-mount camera system. The Fujifilm X-mount is a type of interchangeable lens mount designed by Fujifilm for use in those cameras in their X-series line that have interchangeable-lenses. These lenses are designed for 23.6mm x 15.6mm APS-C sensors. Various lens manufacturers use this mount, such as Fujifilm's own XF and XC lenses, Carl Zeiss AG (Touit lenses), Samyang Optics, Handevision, SLR Magic, Viltrox and Zhongyi Optics. A Bayer filter mosaic is a color filter array (CFA) for arranging RGB color filters on a square grid of photosensors. The Fujifilm X-Trans is a sensor developed by Fujifilm and used in its Fujifilm X series cameras. Unlike most sensors featuring a conventional Bayer filter array, X-Trans sensors have a unique 6 by 6 pattern of photosites. Fujifilm claims that this layout can minimise moiré effects, and in turn increase resolution by eliminating the need for a low-pass filter.
