Frontline (The Bill)
"Frontline" was a three-part storyline in the long-running police procedural British television series ''The Bill''. Broadcast in 2008, the storyline is significant in the show's history as it was the final plot to feature the death of an on-screen character, PC Emma Keane, which came in the first part of the plot. Prelude Unlike storylines during the serialized era of 2002-2005, the Frontline plot did not have multiple, long-running plots in the buildup. However, one ongoing storyline was that of the posse run by Sergeant Callum Stone. While Stone was not borderline corrupt, he used certain methods that were not legal. Police Procedural
The police show, or police crime drama, is a subgenre of procedural drama and detective fiction that emphasizes the investigative procedure of a police officer or department as the protagonist(s), as contrasted with other genres that focus on either a private detective, an amateur investigator or the characters who are the targets of investigations. Alex Newcombe Walkinshaw (born 5 October 1974) is a British actor. He has played the long-running roles of Dale "Smithy" Smith in the ITV police procedural series ''The Bill'' and Adrian "Fletch" Fletcher in BBC medical dramas ''Casualty'' and ''Holby City''. He also played PE teacher Jez Diamond in BBC school-based drama series '' Waterloo Road''. Career Walkinshaw's first television appearance was at the age of 12 as an extra in ''Grange Hill'', where he stayed for a year. From 1992 to 1993 he appeared in the sitcom '' Side by Side''. Samuel Charles Callis (born 21 November 1973 in Ely, Cambridgeshire) is an English actor and director, best known for his role as Callum Stone in ''The Bill'' and Adam Benjamin in '' London's Burning''. Biography Callis grew up in Haslemere, Surrey and attended Camelsdale Primary School, Midhurst Intermediate School and Midhurst Grammar School. The River Thames ( ), known alternatively in parts as the The Isis, River Isis, is a river that flows through southern England including London.
