Fromis 9 (; stylized as fromis_9) is a South Korean girl group formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality show '' Idol School''. The group is composed of eight members: Roh Ji-sun, Song Ha-young, Lee Sae-rom, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, Park Ji-won, Lee Seo-yeon and Baek Ji-heon. Originally a nine-piece group, Jang Gyu-ri departed the group on July 31, 2022. The group debuted on January 24, 2018, under Stone Music Entertainment with the release of their first extended play (EP), ''To. Heart''. In September 2018, it was confirmed that Fromis 9 would be managed by Off the Record Entertainment, a new label established by Stone Music. As part of their transfer, Pledis Entertainment was in charge of creative direction and the production of the group's music. The group was co-managed by Off the Record and Stone Music. As of August 16, 2021, as part of the label reorganization of Off the Record Entertainment, Pledis Entertainment will serve as the management company for the group. ...

Jang Gyu-ri
Jang Gyu-ri (, born December 27, 1997) is a South Korean singer and actress. She finished ninth in Mnet's girl group survival show '' Idol School'', becoming a member of the resulting girl group Fromis 9. Jang gained more recognition after starring in the television series ''It's Okay to Not Be Okay'' (2020). Jang left Fromis 9 and Pledis Entertainment after her contract with the company expired. Early life Jang Gyu-ri was born on December 27, 1997, in Seoul, South Korea. She attended Seoul Institute of the Arts, majoring in acting. ''Fun Factory'' is the second single album by South Korean girl group Fromis 9. The album was released on June 4, 2019 by Off the Record and distributed by Stone Music. The physical version of the single album is available in two versions: "Fun" and "Factory". Both of them consist of the same three songs, including the lead single "Fun!". Background and release On May 22, it was revealed that Fromis 9 would come back on June 4 with their first single album ''Fun Factory''. Concept images were released on May 23 and music video teasers featuring each of the members were released from May 24 to June 2. Pledis Entertainment () is a South Korean entertainment company founded by Han Sung-Soo in 2007. The label is home to actress Nana, Hwang Min-hyun, Baekho, and K-pop groups Seventeen and Fromis 9. Wake One (), is a South Korean entertainment company under CJ ENM. The label is home to Davichi, Roy Kim, Ha Hyun-sang, Jo Yu-ri, TO1 and Kep1er (co-managed with Swing Entertainment). ''Sixteen'' (stylized in all caps; ) was a 2015 reality girl group survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. The show pitted sixteen trainees against one another to secure a spot in the girl group Twice. ''Sixteen'' contestants were assessed not just by their singing and dancing abilities but also their charisma and personality. The show ran from May 5 to July 7 on Mnet for ten episodes. 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards
The 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony, organized by CJ E&M through its music channel Mnet, took place from November 25 through December 1, 2017 (dubbed as "MAMA Week") in Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong with the theme, "Coexistence". It was the eighth consecutive Mnet Asian Music Awards to be hosted outside of South Korea, the 19th ceremony in the show's history, and the first ceremony to take place in three locations. Nominees were announced on October 19, 2017, through the 2017 MAMA Nomination Special Live Broadcast aired on Mnet streamed nationally and globally. ''Idol School'' () was a 2017 reality girl group survival show on Mnet. The program aimed to form a 9-member girl group from a pool of 41 female participants, training them in singing, dancing and other "subjects" over an 11 week time period. While sharing similarities to another Mnet survival program, ''Produce 101'', the two shows differed in many ways including its number of participants, voting system, and number of winners that will form the final group. Another of the shows greatest differences was how they treated the eliminated contestants. In Idol School, participants where given the chance to continue studying in the 'normal class' for a chance to debut in a future group where they would continue studying in a different class off-campus (off location) under less public scrutiny. ''Produce 48'' () was the third season of the South Korean reality competition series '' Produce 101''. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 contestants from South Korea and Japan, as well as voting for the group's concept, name and debut single. The show was a collaboration between the Mnet series '' Produce 101'' and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, would promote as a group for two years and six months.
