Frode Jacobsen
Frode Jacobsen (born 11 June 1974) is a musician, bass guitarist, songwriter and record producer from Stokmarknes in Norway. He is the founding member of the band Madrugada, one of the most successful acts in Norwegian musical history. Jacobsen is credited as songwriter on all the songs of Madrugada. He produced/co-produced several of the band's albums in addition to producing albums by Savoy, Howl, Ingrid Olava, Phaedra, Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O. Stokmarknes
is a town and the administrative centre of Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the northern coast of the island of Hadseløya and on the small, neighboring island of Børøya. In 2000, Stokmarknes received " town status". The town has a population (2018) of 3,367 which gives the town a population density of . Stokmarknes is the headquarters to the Hurtigruten coastal express company and also the Coastal Express Museum. The local hospital for the whole Vesterålen region ( Nordland Hospital) is located in Stokmarknes. Stokmarknes is the home town of Norwegian band Madrugada. The historic Hadsel Church is located about east of Stokmarknes. The Børøy Bridge and Hadsel Bridge connect Stokmarknes to the island of Langøya to the north. Madrugada (band)
Madrugada is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes in 1993. The key band members included Sivert Høyem (vocals), Robert Burås (guitar) and Frode Jacobsen (bass). After Burås' death on 12 July 2007, Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording what was to be their final album with the original lineup. On 21 January 2008, the band released '' Madrugada'' and announced that they would split after one last tour. They performed their final concert of this tour on 15 November 2008. In June 2018 it was announced that Høyem, Jacobsen and Lauvland Pettersen had reformed the band for a series of shows in 2019. According to Anders Kaasen of Allmusic, the band was noted for "its bareboned blues-inspired alt-rock" at the end of the 1990s. My Midnight Creeps (initiated 2003 in Oslo, Norway) was a Norway, Norwegian rock band fronted by deceased Madrugada (band), Madrugada-guitarist Robert Burås and Ricochets (Norwegian band), Ricochets-guitarist Alex Kloster-Jensen. Biography Other members included Dag Stiberg on tenor saxophone, Behzad Farazollahi on drums, Anders Møller on Percussion instrument, percussion and Raymond Jensen on Bass guitar, bass. Keyboardist Mikael Lindqvist also appeared on their first album, ''My Midnight Creeps''. The band's music carried inspiration from The Stooges, as well as The Rolling Stones and The Animals.
