Frisch Medal
The Frisch Medal is an award in economics given by the Econometric Society. It is awarded every two years for empirical or theoretical applied research published in ''Econometrica'' during the previous five years. The award was named in honor of Ragnar Frisch, first co-recipient of the Nobel prize in economics and editor of ''Econometrica'' from 1933 to 1954. In the opinion of Rich Jensen, Gilbert F. Schaefer Professor of Economics and chairperson of the Department of Economics of the University of Notre Dame, "The Frisch medal is not only one of the top three prizes in the field of economics, but also the most prestigious 'best article' award in the profession". Five Frisch medal winners have also won the Nobel Prize. Susanne Schennach
Susanne Maria Schennach is an economist and professor at Brown University. She is an econometrician whose work focuses on measurement error. Schennach has been an assistant editor at '' The Econometrics Journal'', ''Econometric Theory'', and ''Econometrica''. Early life and education Schennach is a native of Innsbruck, and remains a citizen of Austria. Sir Richard William Blundell CBE FBA (born 1 May 1952, Shoreham-by-Sea) is a British economist and econometrician. Blundell is the David Ricardo Professor of Political Economy at the Department of Economics of University College London and the Director of the ESRC Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Eduardo Engel is the former president and current board member of the think tank Espacio Público and professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Chile. Samuel Kortum
Samuel S. Kortum (born December 1960) is an American economist and currently James Burrows Moffatt Professor of Economics at Yale University. His research focuses on international trade and industrial organisation. Education Kortum graduated with a BA from Wesleyan University in 1983. He went on to further study at Yale University and received his Ph.D. in economics in 1992. Career Kortum's first academic position was as an assistant professor at Boston University. David Card
David Edward Card (born 1956) is a Canadian-American labour economist and professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He was awarded half of the 2021 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences "for his empirical contributions to labour economics", with Joshua Angrist and Guido Imbens jointly awarded the other half.
