Frihedslund
Frihedslund is a manor house and estate located on the east side of Tissø, Kalundborg Municipality some west of Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate is now owned by the Jarl Foundation and operated as an educational centre for agriculture students under the name Frihedslund Lærergård. History 18th century Arnoldus von Falkenskiold, a colonel, bought the manor of Sæbygaard in 1779. He turned the farm Falkenhøj into a separate manor in 1787 and in 1790 he also detached another manor which was given the name Frihedslund. When he sold Sæbygaard and instead acquired Sophienberg at Hørsholm, in 1797, he initially kept Frihedslund for a few more years. 19th century In around 1800, Falkenskiold sold Frihedslund to Christian, Count Rantzau-Ascheberg, who had recently also acquired nearby Søbygaard. Arnoldus Von Falkenskiold
Arnoldus von Falkenskiold (11 June 1743–15 May 1819) was a Danish Noble courtier, colonel and major landowner who is renowned for his agricultural reforms in Denmark. He was the son of nobleman Martin Dyssel von Falkenskiold and brother of general Otto von Falkenskiold who was sentenced to life imprisonment for his support of privy councillor Count Johann Struensee but later released. Arnoldus was the owner of Sæbygård Castle at Kalundborg and Sophienberg Castle at Hørsholm and founded the manors of Falkenhøj (1787) and Frihedslund (1790). Frederik Hoppe (landowner)
Frederik Hoppe (18 September 1770 – 22 February 1837) was a Danish landowner, chamberlain and Member of the Royal Hunt (). He owned the Bernstorff Mansion in Copenhagen as well as the estates Løvegård and Søbygård at Kalundborg. Early life and education Hoppe was born on 18 September 1770 in Copenhagen, the third of four children of Supreme Court justice Peder Hoppe (1727–1778) and Elisabeth Hoppe née Holst (1740–1773). Selchausdal, formerly Gundetved, is a manor house and estate located on the east side of Tissø, Kalundborg Municipality, some 0+ kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. The three-winged Renaissance Revival style main building is from 1857 and was designed by Johan Daniel Herholdt. It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1978. Lauritz Nicolai Hvidt
Lauritz Nicolai Hvidt (27 October 1777 – 16 March 1856) was a Danish merchant and politician. His trading house mainly traded on the Danish West Indies. He was also part of the management of the marine insurance company De private Assurandeurer and director of the Bank of Denmark. As a liberal politician, he was involved in the work for a free constitution and a co-founder of the Free Press Society (). He was a member of the Copenhagen City Council from 1840 and its chairman from 1841. He lived in the now listed building at Kronprinsessegade 28 from 1812. Jyderup
Jyderup is an old town with a population of 4,325 in Holbæk Municipality (1 January 2022) in northwestern Zealand, Denmark. It is positioned roughly halfway between the larger cities of Kalundborg and Holbæk on the west and east, respectively, and is surrounded by forest and farmland. The town is bordered on the west by the lake of Skarresø. Jyderup is split in two parts divided by the road between Holbæk and Kalundborg named ''Skovvejen'' (English: ''Forest Road''). Algestrup (manor House)
Algestrup is a manor house and estate located close to Kalundborg, Denmark. History 1627-1809: Adeler and Berner families A village by the same name was until the middle of the 18th century located at the site. The village and all its land was from 1728 owned by Friederich Adeler. In 1756, he was granted royal permission to dissolve the village and merge all the land into a single manor. Adeler's father, Frederik Christian von Adeler, was a major landowner who had also served as amtmann of Roskilde, Tryggevælde and finally Zealand. His grandfather was Cort Adeler. Adeler had inherited the esta Egemarke after his father. In 1759, he was sent to Norway as ''amtmann''. He then ceded Algestrup and Egemærke to his son-in-law, Helmuth Gotthardt von Barner. Johan Leonhard Fix
Johan Leonhard Fix (28 December 1735 - 2 February 1807) was a German-Danish merchant who served as governor of Frederiknagor in Danish India. He moved to Copenhagen in 1787 where he served as director of Danish Asiatic Company from 1791 to 1805. He was the third largest contributor to the rebuilding of Christiansborg Palace after the first Christiansborg Palace was destroyed in a fire in 1804. Early life Fix was born on 28 December 1735 in Hanau near Frankfurt. His father was a weaver. The family belonged to the Dutch Reformed church.
