Friedrich Stringberg
Friedrich Strindberg, also Friedrich Strindberg-Wedekind, pseudonym Fredrik Uhlson, (21 August 1897 in Wienna – 30 March 1978 in Italy) was a Swedish-Austrian journalist and author. He was the second child of Frida Uhl and the grandson of Friedrich Uhl (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Uhl_(Journalist)),.Frank Wedekind was his biological father. His mother was at the time still married to August Strindberg at the time, who juridically accepted the boy as his son. After volunteering in the Austrian army in the First World War, he returned to his birth town Vienna, where he in 1923 married the writer and playwright Maria Lazar. Lotte Strauss, (born Lotte Schloss; August 2, 1913 – September 6, 2020) was a German-born author who wrote about her experiences as a Jewish woman in Nazi Germany. Biography Strauss was born to Louis Schloss (1881–1967) and Johanna Bildesheim (1885–1942) in Braunschweig, Germany in August 1913. She had a brother named Helmut (1915–1991). She was married to Herbert Arthur Strauss (1918–2005). Between 1942 and 1943, Strauss and her husband hid in Berlin to avoid arrest by German authorities. They were finally able to flee to Switzerland with the help of her uncle Ludwig Schöneberg. In 1946, the couple had a daughter, Jane Helen. That same year, they immigrated to the United States, moving to New York. The Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations ( he, גַן חֲסִידִי אוּמות הָעוֹלָם) is part of the much larger Yad Vashem complex located on the Mount of Remembrance in Jerusalem. Along with some two dozen different structures within the Yad Vashem memorial – which is the second most-visited destination in the country after the Western Wall – the Garden of the Righteous is meant to honor those non-Jews who during the Holocaust risked their lives to save Jews from extermination by the Nazis.
