Friedrich Griese
Friedrich Griese (2 October 1890, Lehsten – 1 July 1975) was a German novelist. He was associated with the nationalist literary movement during the Third Reich. Griese wrote mostly about peasant life in northern Germany. His most important books were written before the advent of the Nazi government in 1933, so he cannot be considered so much a proponent of Nazi ideologies as a precursor to them. He wrote his first autobiography, ''Mein Leben'', at the height of his popularity in 1934, his second one, ''Leben in dieser Zeit'', in 1970. Griese's novels are nostalgic both in their interest in medieval German literature and their enthusiasm for an idealized conception of the spirit of the German peasant. In this sense they are solidly within the ''Blut und Boden'' (Blood and Soil) school popular during the Third Reich. Fritz Reuter Literary Archive
The Fritz Reuter Literary Archive (FRLA - Fritz Reuter Literaturarchiv) in Berlin, Germany collects autographs and manuscripts by 19th century authors from Mecklenburg, as well as editions of their works. The collections primarily include Fritz Reuter (1810–1874), who wrote mostly in Low German, and Ida Gräfin Hahn-Hahn (1805–1880), who wrote primarily in High German. During the 19th century, these two novelists, with Mecklenburgian roots, were counted among the most widely read authors by the German, as well as the reading public in other countries. Founding The Fritz Reuter Literary Archive came into being during the early 1970s, based on private initiative, and literary interest in Fritz Reuter. Its founder is Hans-Joachim Griephan, journalist and former editor, who originally hails from Mecklenburg. Hans-Joachim Griephan (born 26 September 1937) is a German journalist, publisher and founder of the "Wirtschaftsinformationsdienst" published since 1964, the '. Life and career Griephan was born in Malchin. After a childhood in Mecklenburg, Griephan left the GDR in the early 1950s and went first to West Berlin, later to the federal capital Bonn. He began his journalistic career in 1958 at the ''Berliner Morgenpost'' and in 1961 moved to the US news agency United Press International as a correspondent, initially in the Berlin, then in the Bonn bureau.
