Freshwater stingray may refer to species of two families in the order Myliobatiformes: * Dasyatidae, found in the Amazon, Africa, Asia, and Australia * Potamotrygonidae, found in South America * Grows up to 7.2 feet across (wing span) * Grows up to 16.5 feet long (head to tail) * Weighs up to 660 pounds * They eat crustaceans * The females don't lay eggs * They travel and hunt in groups of up to 10,000.
