''Frou-Frou'', is a French comedy film from 1955, directed by Augusto Genina, written by A. E. Carr, starring Dany Robin and Louis de Funès. The film is also known as "A Girl from Paris". Plot Frou-Frou is a 16-year-old peddler. She comes to the attention of four gentlemen who, Pygmalion-like, agree on helping her to improve her situation. Huguette Duflos
Huguette Duflos (24 August 1887, Limoges – 12 April 1982, Paris) was a French stage and film actress. Life In 1910, she married the actor Raphaël Duflos, from whom she was divorced around 1928. Initially a theatrical performer with the Comédie-Française, Duflor then embarked on a film career. In 1931, Duflos was attacked by Frenchwoman Marguerite Pantaine outside the Theatre St. Georges in Paris. Pantaine was later treated by Jacques Lacan and became the subject of his doctoral thesis. Maurice Lehmann (1895–1974) was a French actor, director and producer of the stage and screen. He starred in the 1923 film '' Koenigsmark'' in which he played the title role. In 1956 he was appointed President of the Jury in the Cannes Film Festival. Biography He entered as a boarder at the Comedie-French from 1916 to 1919. Léonce Joseph Perret (14 March 1880 – 12 August 1935) was a prolific and innovative French film actor, director and producer.The Museum of Modern Art(retrieved 7 June 2007) He also worked as a stage actor and director. Often described as avant-garde for his unorthodox directing methods, Léonce Perret introduced innovative camera, lighting and film scoring techniques to French cinema. Léonce Perret began his career as a relatively undistinguished stage actor. He was recruited to the film industry by the Gaumont Film Company. His numerous short films gained significant accolade in French cinematography. Until his emigration to the United States in 1917, he was a fixture of the Gaumont Film Company. Jean Peyrière (born Marie Henri Georges Jean Vaysse, 10 October 1885 – 7 September 1965) was a French stage and film actor. He appeared in several popular serial films during his career. Biography Jean Peyrière was born Marie Henri Georges Jean Vaysse in Vesoul, Haute-Saône, Franche-Comté. He began his career in the film industry in 1913, with an appearance in the Henri Pouctal directed short film ''Denise'' opposite actor Philippe Garnier. Following his role in ''Denise'', he would appear in the André Calmettes directed two part serial ''Les trois mousquetaires'' (''The Three Muskateers''), released the following year. ''Les trois mousquetaires'' was an early film adaptation of the 1884 Alexandre Dumas novel of the same name. Peyrière would spend the remainder of the 1910s appearing in films directed by Louis Mercanton, René Hervil, Jean Kemm and René Plaissetty.
