French Creek, Alberta
Westlock County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada that is north of Edmonton. The county was formerly known as the Municipal District of Westlock No. 92, and was created in 1943 from the merger of five smaller municipal districts. Geography Physiography The county lies on the boundary of two of Canada's largest drainage basins. The northern and western sectors of the county are drained by the Pembina River which flows north to meet the Athabasca River, which drains into the Arctic Ocean via the Mackenzie River. The southern and eastern sections drain into the Sturgeon River which joins the North Saskatchewan and eventually empties via the Nelson River into Hudson Bay. A 1986 federal map shows the area as being the north-western edge of the Eastern Alberta Plains. Specifically, the county includes parts of the Edmonton Plain (and its subdivision Westlock Plain), as well as the Tawatinaw Plain, and is bounded on the northwest by the Athabasca Valley. ...

French Creek (Cheyenne River)
French Creek is an intermittent stream located in the Black Hills region of western South Dakota, United States. It is a tributary of the Cheyenne River. French Creek flows year-round, but in drier periods it flows into an underground drainage near the eastern boundary of Custer State Park and never reaches the Cheyenne. French Creek rises approximately northwest of Custer, South Dakota and extends for a length of . The river flows in a generally eastward direction through Custer State Park and empties into the Cheyenne River near Red Shirt, South Dakota, Red Shirt west of Badlands National Park. West Virginia State Wildlife Center
The West Virginia State Wildlife Center is a zoological park in French Creek, West Virginia. Operated by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, the Wildlife Center displays many of West Virginia's wildlife, including both native and introduced species. A few of the animals at the Wildlife Center were once found naturally in West Virginia, but were extirpated by the early 1900s. The Wildlife Center comprises and displays 29 different species of West Virginia mammals, birds, and reptiles, which are located along a trail through a mature hardwood forest. The animal exhibits are spacious chain-link enclosures within an actual West Virginian forest, which allows the animals to interact with the environment and behave in more natural ways than one would see in most other zoos that attempt to recreate the environment. French Creek Wildlife Area
The French Creek Wildlife Area is a tract of protected land located in Columbia County and Marquette County, Wisconsin, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). Land to be used for the wildlife area was first acquired in 1947 to provide for increased production of wildfowl and hunting opportunities. Prior to 1947, the area was used for the cultivation of wire grass which is used for the creation of grass rugs and mats. French Creek State Park
French Creek State Park is a Pennsylvania state park in North Coventry and Warwick Townships in Chester County and Robeson and Union Townships in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It straddles northern Chester County and southern Berks County along French Creek. It is located in the Hopewell Big Woods. The park is the home of two lakes: Hopewell Lake, a warm water lake, and Scotts Run Lake, a cold water lake. The state record smallmouth bass was caught in Scotts Run Lake. There are extensive forests, and almost of hiking and equestrian trails. The park is also friendly to mountain bikers, having some renowned technical trails. French Creek Farm, also known as The Aman Farm, is a historic farm and national historic district located in West Vincent Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The farm has four contributing buildings. They are a stone spring house (1795), stuccoed small barn and wagonshed (1796–97), -story stone smokehouse (1799), and the farmhouse.
