This list of ''Mario'' television episodes covers three television series based upon Nintendo's ''Mario'' series of video games. The three series were produced by DIC Entertainment: '' The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!'' (1989) is based upon '' Super Mario Bros.'' and '' Super Mario Bros. 2''; ''The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3'' (1990) is based upon ''Super Mario Bros. 3''; and ''Super Mario World'' (1991) is loosely based upon ''Super Mario World''. All except ''Club Mario'' focus on the characters of Mario and Luigi assisting Princess Toadstool in thwarting the plots and schemes of King Koopa. Each series episodes is listed in order of airdate. The names "Princess Toadstool" and "King Koopa" are primarily used prior to the release of ''Super Mario 64'', which define them as "Princess Peach" and "Bowser" respectively. Birdo
Birdo, known in Japanese as , is a fictional character in the ''Mario'' franchise. Her first appearance was as an enemy in '' Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic'', which was localized for English-language audiences as '' Super Mario Bros. 2''. Since then, Birdo has been a recurring character in various franchise spin-offs. Initially, she was depicted as an antagonist, but has since been depicted as an ally. Birdo has also made several cameos, particularly in the ''Mario Kart'' series and the Japan-only Wii video game ''Captain Rainbow''. The English manual for ''Super Mario Bros. 2'' refers to Birdo as male, "who thinks he is a girl" and would prefer to be called "Birdetta." Some interpret that as a Birdo being transgender, which would make her the first transgender video game character. Mark Twain
Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910), known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. He was praised as the "greatest humorist the United States has produced", and William Faulkner called him "the father of American literature". ''Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'' is a 1969 American Western buddy film directed by George Roy Hill and written by William Goldman.
