Fremont Pathfinders
The Fremont Pathfinders were a minor league baseball team, based in Fremont, Nebraska. Preceded by a Fremont team in 1892, Fremont teams played exclusively as members of the Nebraska State League. The Pathfinders won league championships in their first season of 1910 and a second in 1912, before folding following the 1913 season, when the franchise relocated and became the Norfolk Drummers. Fremont played minor league home games at the Association Lot. In 2019, the Fremont Moo, a Collegiate summer baseball franchise, began play. History Fremont briefly had a minor league team in 1892, playing as charter members of the six–team Class B level Nebraska State League. On June 20, 1892, Fremont had compiled a record of 11–18 under Manager Norman L. Baker when the franchise disbanded. Harry Smith (August 15, 1889 in Union, Nebraska – July 26, 1964 in Dunbar, Nebraska) was a baseball player with the Chicago White Sox who played one game in 1912. He was the starting pitcher, he pitched five innings for an ERA of 1.80 and is credited with a win. Jack Farrell
John A. "Jack" Farrell (July 5, 1857 – February 9, 1914), also known as "Moose", was an American Major League Baseball player who played mainly second base in his 11 seasons. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Farrell made his major league debut for the Syracuse Stars of the National League, where he played the majority of that season, until moving onto the Providence Grays, where he played the next six seasons. His career numbers include 877 hits in 884 games played, 23 home runs, and a .243 batting average. In , he began the season as the player-manager for the Grays, compiling a 24 win, 27 loss record. On August 3, Farrell quit as "captain" of the team. He was succeeded by outfielder Tom York, and the team finished the season with 23 wins against 10 losses, good for second place. Expedition League
The Expedition League is a collegiate summer baseball league in the Great Plains region of the United States and Canada. The league was founded in 2015 in Rapid City, South Dakota, by Steve Wagner, who also serves as president. The league's inaugural season was 2018 with eight teams. Teams play a 62-game season from late May through the beginning of August. Playoffs take place in the second week of August with teams seeded for the playoffs, with each team making the playoffs. The first round of the playoffs is a best-of-three series and the League Championship Series is also a best-of-three series.
