Fremantle Cricket Club
Fremantle District Cricket Club is a cricket club which competes in the Western Australian Grade Cricket competition, the highest level of club cricket in Western Australia. History Records of a cricket club known as Fremantle Cricket Club date back to at least the early 1880s when an annual cricket match was played between the Metropolitan Cricket Club (representing Perth) and Fremantle CC. The current club dates its history to 1886. Home ground The club plays its home fixtures at Stevens Reserve, Fremantle and shares the facilities with the Fremantle Hockey Club. Merv Inverarity
Mervyn Inverarity (25 October 1907 – 17 March 1979) was an Australian cricketer who played 26 first-class matches for Western Australia between 1925 and 1940. Inverarity attended Scotch College, Perth, in the 1920s, also playing for Western Australia Colts during the same period. He made his first-class debut for Western Australia against South Australia in October 1925, recording innings figures of 6/179 on debut. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Mitchell Ross Marsh (born 20 October 1991) is an Australian international cricketer. Marsh has represented Australia in all three forms of cricket, making his debut during the 2011–12 season. I Zingari
I Zingari (from dialectalized Italian , meaning "the Gypsies"; corresponding to standard Italian ') are English and Australian amateur cricket clubs, founded in 1845 and 1888 respectively. It is the oldest and perhaps the most famous of the 'wandering' cricket clubs (without a home ground), and is well known for its historically aristocratic membership and its colours of black, red and gold, symbolising the motto "Out of darkness, through fire, into light".
