Freestyle Skiing At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Women's Halfpipe
The women's halfpipe competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 17 February (qualification) and 18 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Eileen Gu of China won the event. The defending champion, Cassie Sharpe of Canada, returned and won silver. Rachael Karker of Canada won bronze, her first Olympic medal. The 2018 silver medalist, Marie Martinod, retired from competitions, and the bronze medalist, Brita Sigourney, returned and placed tenth. Kelly Sildaru
Kelly Sildaru (; born 17 February 2002) is an Estonian Olympic freestyle skier. Biography Sildaru won a gold medal in the slopestyle event in the 2016 Winter X Games beating Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen. With this win, at age 13, Sildaru became the youngest gold medalist to date at a Winter X Games event and the first person to win a Winter X Games medal for Estonia. She is also the youngest to win two X Games gold medals. Sildaru has won the women's slopestyle on the 2015 and 2016 Dew Tour. Anja Niamh Barugh (born 21 May 1999) is a New Zealand freestyle skier who specialises in halfpipe. She represented New Zealand at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she ranked 19th. Biography Barugh was born in Morrinsville on 21 May 1999, the daughter of Kevin and Kerry-Lea Barugh. Chloe McMillan (born 29 May 2000) is a New Zealand freestyle skier who specialises in halfpipe. She is representing New Zealand at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
