Freeport High School is a public high school located in Freeport, in Nassau County, New York, United States. Serving students in ninth through twelfth grade, it is the only high school operated by the Freeport Public Schools. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,177 students and 156.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.0:1. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Morlon O'Neil Greenwood (born July 17, 1978) is a former American football linebacker. Early years Greenwood attended Freeport High School and participated in both football and wrestling. At first, he was a wrestling athlete who had won the Empire State Games in the freestyle division as a sophomore and as a junior as well as the Greco-Roman division as a junior. An assistant wrestling coach Russ Cellan (who was also the head football coach) then convinced him to play football as a junior. George D. Gollin (born May 6, 1953) is an American physics professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
