Freed–Hardeman University
Freed–Hardeman University is a private university associated with the Churches of Christ and located in Henderson, Tennessee. It is primarily undergraduate and residential, enrolling full-time students of traditional college age. The university also serves some commuting, part-time, and adult students on-campus and through distance-learning programs. The university offers a limited number of master's and doctoral level graduate programs including Bible, Business, Counseling and Education. Arts, science, and professional degrees are conferred. Campus Pride is an American national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded by M. Chad Wilson, Sarah E. Holmes and Shane L. Stereophonic sound, or more commonly stereo, is a method of sound reproduction that recreates a multi-directional, 3-dimensional audible perspective. This is usually achieved by using two independent audio channels through a configuration of two loudspeakers (or stereo headphones) in such a way as to create the impression of sound heard from various directions, as in natural hearing. FM Broadcasting
FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting using frequency modulation (FM). Invented in 1933 by American engineer Edwin Armstrong, wide-band FM is used worldwide to provide high fidelity sound over broadcast radio. WFHU (91.5 FM) is the callsign for the radio station out of Henderson, Tennessee. and is owned and overseen by Freed-Hardeman University. It broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 10,500 Watts. The station is run by a select number of students and is currently managed by Jesse Forkum and Sutherland Shrader. ''WFHU, 91.5 the Lion'' format is primarily contemporary rock, the "best of the 80s, 90s and now". Sunday mornings, called Gospel Sunday, has several religious programs as part of its form, ending with the live broadcast of the worship services of the Henderson Church of Christ, then going back to its regular format. WFHU also airs the Freed-Hardeman Lions and Lady Lions Basketball, Baseball, and softball games, along with Chester County High School football. Alpha Chi National College Honor Society (or ) is an American collegiate honor society recognizing achievements in general scholarship.
