Frederick William III, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck (4 November 1723 – 6 May 1757) was a son of Frederick William II and his wife, Ursula Anna of Dohna. He succeeded his father as Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck in 1749. Life Frederick William was a recipient of the Order of the Red Eagle. He served as a colonel in the Prussian Army and was commander of the Füsilier Regiments No. 46 (Old-Württemberg). During the Seven Years' War The Seven Years' War (1756–1763) was a global conflict that involved most of the European Great Powers, and was fought primarily in Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. Burgrave Christopher von Dohna (German: ''Burggraf Christoph von Dohna''; 27 June 1583 – 1 July 1637) was a German politician and scholar during the time of the Thirty Years' War. He came from the Prussian family of the Burgraves of Dohna. Biography Dohna was born in 1583 in Mohrungen (Morąg), Duchy of Prussia (a fief of the Crown of Poland), the son of Achatius von Dohna, by his marriage to Barbara von Wernsdorf. Philip of Schleswig-Holstein-Glücksburg (15 March 1584 – 27 September 1663) was the first Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Glücksburg after the death of his father in 1622. He was the son of John II, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg and Duchess Elisabeth of Brunswick-Grubenhagen. On the death of his brother Duke Christian of Schleswig-Holstein at Ærø in 1633, he inherited that island, as well as the town of Koping (Ærøskøbing), the district of Wuderup (Vodrup) and the domain of Gravenstein (Gråsten). That year, however, he ceded the last to his elder brother Frederick, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sønderburg-Norburg, who had remained landless until he inherited Norburg in 1624 upon the death of their elder brother, Duke John Adolf. Anna Amalia of Baden-Durlach (born: 9 July 1595; died: 18 November 1651 in Saarbrücken) was a Countess of Nassau-Saarbrücken by marriage to William Louis, Count of Nassau-Saarbrücken, and regent of Nassau-Saarbrücken during the minority of her son from 1640. William Louis of Nassau-Saarbrücken (18 December 1590, Ottweiler – 22 August 1640, Metz), was a Count of Saarbrücken. Life His parents were Louis II of Nassau-Weilburg (died: 8 November 1627 in Saarbrücken) and Landgravine Anna Maria of Hesse-Kassel (1567–1626). His father had in 1605 re-united all the possessions of the Walram line of the House of Nassau. Alexander, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg, (20 January 157313 May 1627) was a Danish nobleman. Alexander was born in Sønderborg (German: ''Sonderburg'') in Schleswig, the third son of John II, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg and Elisabeth of Brunswick-Grubenhagen. Christian Albert, Burgrave and Count of Dohna (also known as Christoph Albert, 10 December 162115 December 1621, according to Scharing in Küstrin – 14 December 1677 in Gartz) was a German nobleman from the House of Dohna. Early life He was the son of Count Christoph von Dohna and his wife, Countess Ursula of Solms-Braunfels (24 November 1594 in Braunfels – 18 August 1657 in Turnhout). His brothers Frederick and Christopher Delphicus also served as army officers. His first cousin Louise Henriette was Electress consort of Brandenburg.
