Frederick Werema
Frederick Mwita Werema (born 10 October 1955) served as Attorney General of Tanzania from 2009 until his resignation in 2014. Before his appointment Werema was High Court of Tanzania Judge in the Commercial Division. Early life and career Judge Werema was born on 10 October 1955 and acquired his lLaw degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam, American University Graduate School in USA, Italy on Contracts, the United Kingdom and Bolivia where he learned how to privatize electricity companies. He had previously worked in the Attorney General's Office from 1984 to 2007. In 2005 he was appointed an alternate member of SADC Tribunal before that in 1999, as Director of Constitutional Affairs and Human Rights. State House (Tanzania)
Ikulu is the official residence of the president of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam which was founded by Majid bin Said of Zanzibar in 1865. The State House blends African and Arabian architecture, with wide verandahs and covered walkways. It is white-walled with floors of African terrazzo, and stands in over of grounds overlooking the Indian Ocean on the east and Dar es Salaam to the west. The brass-studded west doors are surmounted by a replica of the Republic's Coat of Arms and flanked by two giant drums. The ''Daily News'' is an English-language newspaper in Tanzania, the second-largest economy in the East African Community. History The ''Daily News'' was the result of a forced merger of two papers. ''The Standard'' was first published as the ''Tanganyika Standard'' in January 1930 by the Tanganyikan East African Standard Limited. In 1967, it was taken over by a multinational London-Rhodesian Company (LONRHO). After the creation of Tanzania in 1964, the newspaper became known simply as ''The Standard''. The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is a public university in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It was established in 1961 as an affiliate college of the University of London. Johnson Paulo Mathias Mwanyika is a former Attorney General of Tanzania, having previously held the offices of Deputy Attorney General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
