Frederick Stuart (British Politician)
Frederick Stuart (24 September 1751 – 17 May 1802) was a British East India Company employee and politician. He was born on 24 September 1751, the third son of John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute, and his wife Mary Wortley Montagu. Lord Bute was to become Prime Minister of Great Britain (1762–63) under George III. Frederick's siblings included: John, a politician; James and Charles, soldiers and politicians; William, an Anglican bishop; and Louisa, a writer. He studied at Winchester College and Christ Church, Oxford, before running away briefly to Paris. Described as the " black sheep of the family", his father obtained a writership for him at the East India Company in 1769, which was unusual for a family with such as position in society. Frederick Stuart (Australian Politician)
Frederick William Stuart (187918 February 1954) was an Australian politician. He was born on the Hunter River to farmer Frederick Stuart and Janet, ''née'' Graham. He attended primary school before serving in the Boer War with the New South Wales Lancers and then the Mounted Rifles. After the war he spent some time in the Orange Free State, running a business there before returning to Australia in 1905, settling in Murwillumbah in 1909. He married Marjorie Phillips in South Australia, with whom he had five children. He ran an office for Hindmarsh, Johnson and Co., an auctioneering firm he eventually took over (it became F. W. Stuart and Co.). "Traitor's Gate" is the fourth episode in the first series of the British television series '' Spooks''. It first aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2002, on a Tuesday; the other first series episodes aired on Mondays. The episode was written by Howard Brenton, and directed by Rob Bailey. Frederick Stuart Church
Frederick Stuart Church (1842–1924) was an American artist, working mainly as an illustrator and especially known for his (often allegorical) depiction of animals. Biography He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His father was an important figure in politics as well as a well-known lawyer. At the age of 13 he left school and took a job at the then newly established American Express Company in Chicago, with his parents intending him to have a business career. Being nineteen at the outbreak of the Civil War he served in the Union Army. After his discharge he returned to Chicago, having decided to devote his life to art, and started studying drawing under Walter Shirlaw at the city's Academy of Design. In 1870 he took the decision to continue his studies in New York City, which became his home for the rest of his life.
