Frederick Davis Shaw (August 4, 1909 – December 9, 1977) was a Canadian politician who served in Parliament of Canada, Parliament. Shaw was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1940 Canadian federal election, 1940 federal election, in the electoral district of Red Deer (federal electoral district), Red Deer under the banner of the Social Credit Party of Canada, Social Credit Party. Frederick Shaw (British Army Officer)
Lieutenant General Sir Frederick Charles Shaw ( 31 July 1861 – 6 January 1942) was a British Army general who served in the Boer War and the First World War. He became Commander-in-Chief, Ireland, and retired in 1920. Family Shaw was born on 31 July 1861, the son of John Shaw of Normanton, Derbyshire. He was educated at Repton School. He married Florence Edith Denton, daughter of Reverend Canon Denton of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. She died in 1918; they had one daughter.''Who Was Who 1941–50''. Military career Shaw was commissioned into the Sherwood Foresters as a lieutenant on 28 January 1882. Sir Frederick Shaw, 3rd Baronet
Sir Frederick Shaw, 3rd Baronet (11 December 1799 – 30 June 1876) was an Irish Conservative MP in the United Kingdom Parliament, and a judge. He was the second son of Colonel Sir Robert Shaw, Bt of Bushy Park, Dublin and his first wife Maria Wilkinson, daughter and heiress of Abraham Wilkinson. He became a member of the Privy Council of Ireland on 15 January 1835. Shaw became the 3rd Baronet on 19 February 1869 on the death of his elder brother Robert. He attended Trinity College Dublin (BA and MA 1832, LLB and LLD 1841), and subsequently Brasenose College, University of Oxford (BA). He became a member of King's Inns, Dublin and was called to the Irish Bar in 1822. He held the judicial offices of Recorder of Dublin, (a part-time municipal judge) and also of Dundalk. Frederick Shaw (Queensland Politician)
Frederick Shaw (1824 - 19 March 1902) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Shaw was born in Pontefract, Yorkshire, the son of Isaac Shaw and his wife Ann. He was educated in Yorkshire and by 1861 was in Australia and working as an agent in Dalby for Cobb and Co. Around 1871 he was growing sugar in the Albert region and then was the General Manager for Queensland of Cobb and Co. in 1876. He was a Director of the City and Suburban Building Society in 1892. He was married to Matilda Thompson and together had three sons and three daughters. Shaw died at Emu Park on 19 March 1902 and his body was sent to Rockhampton by train the next morning for his burial at the South Rockhampton Cemetery.Deceased search


Frederick Shaw (Tasmanian Politician)
Frederick Shaw (28 August 1847 - 24 August 1923) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly from 1899 to 1903, representing the electorate of Glamorgan. Shaw was born at Swansea, Tasmania, son of pastoralist Edward Carr Shaw, and raised on his family's property, "Red Banks". He was a Municipality of Glamorgan councillor for around twenty years, including several terms as warden, and was a long-serving justice of the peace, serving as chairman of the Glamorgan Court of General Sessions and a member of the Licensing Bench. Shaw was elected to the House of Assembly at an 1899 by-election caused by the resignation of Edward Miles. He was re-elected unopposed in 1900. The Glamorgan electorate was abolished in a 1903 redistribution, and Shaw did not contest that year's election. In later life, he suffered from partial blindness. He died at his Swansea home in 1923. His brother Bernard Shaw served as Secretary of Mines and Commissioner of Police. ...

Frederick Roland Studdert Shaw (29 February 1892 – 2 December 1935) was an Irish first-class cricketer and British Army officer. Shaw was born at Dublin in February 1892, and was educated in England at Archbishop Holgate's School. After completing his education in England, he returned to Dublin in 1909 to study medicine at Trinity College. Playing club cricket for Dublin University Cricket Club, Shaw made his debut in first-class cricket for Ireland against Scotland at Edinburgh in 1912. He played in the same fixture at Dublin in 1914, scoring 65 in Ireland's first-innings. He graduated from Trinity College in 1914, serving in World War I with the British Army. He enlisted with the Royal Army Medical Corps in August 1914, with the rank of lieutenant (on probation), gaining the rank permanently in August of the following year. Frederick John Freshwater Shaw (16 December 1885 - 29 July 1936) was a British botanist and mycologist who worked briefly in India where he died of heat stroke during a trip to Agra. He joined as an Imperial Mycologist in 1910 and studied plant pathology at Pusa and at Coimbatore. He also served as the Imperial Economic Botanist and was made a director of the Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1934, a point when the institute was shifted from Bihar to Delhi after an earthquake.Anon.
