Freddy Price
Frederick Price (1888–1960) was an English Association football, footballer who played at Midfielder, right-half for Dudley Town F.C., Dudley Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers, Port Vale F.C., Port Vale, and Newport County A.F.C., Newport County. Career Price played for Dudley Town F.C., Dudley Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers. During World War I, the war he made three guest appearances for Port Vale F.C., Port Vale in March and April 1917. Also, he guested for Sunbeam Motor Works. He joined Port Vale permanently in August 1920 and went straight into the first team. He scored his first and only goal for the club on 13 November in a 4–0 win over Hull City A.F.C., Hull City at The Old Recreation Ground. Brierley Hill
Brierley Hill is a town and electoral ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England, 2.5 miles south of Dudley and 2 miles north of Stourbridge. Part of the Black Country and in a heavily industrialised area, it has a population of 13,935 at the 2011 census. It is best known for glass and steel manufacturing, although industry has declined considerably since the 1970s. One of the largest factories in the area was the Round Oak Steelworks, which closed down and was redeveloped in the 1980s to become the Merry Hill Shopping Centre. The Third Division South of The Football League was a tier in the English football league system from 1921 to 1958. It ran in parallel with the Third Division North with clubs elected to the League or relegated from Division Two allocated to one or the other according to geographical position. Some clubs in the English Midlands shuttled between the Third Division South and the Third Division North according to the composition of the two leagues in any one season. This division was created in 1921 from the Third Division, formed one year earlier when the Football League absorbed the leading clubs from the Southern League.
