Fred La Marmotte
Fred la marmotte is a Canadian groundhog located in near Percé, Quebec who predicts weather on Groundhog Day. According to the tradition of Groundhog Day, if the groundhog sees his shadow then spring will be delayed; if he does not see his shadow, then spring will be early. Fred is unique in being the only weather-predicting groundhog whose habitat is located on a World Heritage Site. The original Fred "Gros Fred" was used from 2010 to 2017 and again in 2019 but was replaced by his son "Petit Fred" in 2018. Fred was an unincorporated community in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States. The community is now part of Zachary. History The community was founded on December 7, 1894 by Eunice Rodriguez Wicker, and is named after a man named Fred Weiss who was the first postmaster. Fred's Frozen Foods and Fred's for Starters are frozen food brands that traces their origin to Fred Luker who first started manufacturing frozen meat and vegetable products in Noblesville, Indiana in 1947. ''Yer' Album'' is the debut studio album by American rock band James Gang. The album was released in early 1969 on the Bluesway label. This is the James Gang's only album to feature their bassist Tom Kriss. He was replaced by Dale Peters for their next album. The album is the first to feature guitarist Joe Walsh, who would later achieve success as a solo artist and with the Eagles. Of the eleven tracks featured, three are covers — Buffalo Springfield's "Bluebird", "Lost Woman" by the Yardbirds, and "Stop" by Jerry Ragovoy and Mort Shuman, recorded a year earlier by Howard Tate, as well as a version by Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield for the '' Super Session'' album (albeit without vocals).
