Freddy Price
Frederick Price (1888–1960) was an English Association football, footballer who played at Midfielder, right-half for Dudley Town F.C., Dudley Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers, Port Vale F.C., Port Vale, and Newport County A.F.C., Newport County. Career Price played for Dudley Town F.C., Dudley Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers. During World War I, the war he made three guest appearances for Port Vale F.C., Port Vale in March and April 1917. Also, he guested for Sunbeam Motor Works. He joined Port Vale permanently in August 1920 and went straight into the first team. He scored his first and only goal for the club on 13 November in a 4–0 win over Hull City A.F.C., Hull City at The Old Recreation Ground. Frederick George Hilton Price (20 August 1842 – 14 March 1909) was an English banker, antiquarian, archaeologist and geologist. He accumulated a large and diverse collection of antiquities, and he was an active member of many learned societies. Frederic Richard Price (2 February 1840 – 26 December 1894) was a Welsh first-class cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and an underarm slow bowler who played occasionally from 1859 to 1872, sometimes as a wicketkeeper. Price was born in February 1840 at Llewes Hall, Denbighshire, Wales.Published under Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians. In his Death notice in ''The Times'', Price was cited as the youngest son of John Price of Llanrhaeadr Hall, Denbigh. He was educated at Cheltenham College and The Queen's College, Oxford. He represented Oxford University Cricket Club, Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and the Gentlemen of the North. Frederic Price (cricketer, Born 1852)
Frederic William Stephen Price (26 February 1852 – 22 December 1937) was an English clergyman and schoolmaster, and a cricketer who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and an England XI. He was born in Lutterworth, Leicestershire and died at Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex. In some sources and on census returns, his first name is spelled "Frederick". Price was educated at St John's College, Cambridge. As a cricketer, he was a lower-order right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He played in three matches in the 1873 season and appeared in the trial for the Cambridge eleven in 1874, but his only first-class game that season was for an England XI ''against'' the university side, and he did not play again. Price graduated from Cambridge University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1875, converting it to a Master of Arts in 1881. Wilfred Frederick Frank Price (25 April 1902 – 13 January 1969) was a cricketer who played for Middlesex County Cricket Club from 1926 to 1947. Price also stood as an umpire from 1950 to 1967. He played in one Test match and officiated as an umpire in eight. Price was a wicket-keeper who took 648 catches and 316 stumpings in his first-class career. He was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1940. Price was unfortunate to be around in the same era as Les Ames, which limited Price's opportunities for an international career. He toured abroad twice, once with the Honourable Freddie Calthorpe's side in 1929/30, when he went as a replacement for Rony Stanyforth, and then on a non-Test tour to South America in 1937/8. Sir John Frederick Price (3 October 1839 – 12 June 1927) was an Indian civil servant and translator who served as a member of the Madras Legislative Council. Early life Price was born to John Price on 3 October 1839. He had his education at Melbourne University and qualified for the Indian civil service. Career Price joined the Indian civil service in 1862 and served till 1897. He also served as Chief Secretary of the Government of Madras. Frederick Thomas Price (24 October 1901 – 16 November 1985) was an English footballer who played at outside left for various clubs in the 1920s. Football career Price was born at Ibstock, Leicestershire, and played his youth football with Coalville Swifts and Whitwick Imperial before joining Leicester City in November 1920. After four seasons at Filbert Street, where he was considered to be a "clever player", Price moved to the south coast to join Southampton in May 1924 along with half-back Dennis Jones as part of an exchange deal that saw full-back Harry Hooper move in the opposite direction. At The Dell, Price briefly formed a left-wing partnership with his uncle Cliff Price in the early part of the 1924–25 season, before the return of Jimmy Carr.
