Fred Hill Sr. (July 15, 1934 – March 2, 2019) was an American football and baseball coach. He served as the head baseball coach at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he served from 1984 through 2013. He earned 13 NCAA baseball tournament bids at the school. Hill was also a head baseball and football coach for the Montclair State University Red Hawks in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. He compiled an overall college baseball coaching record of 1,089–749–9. Coaching career Montclair State In seven seasons as football head coach he compiled a record of 52–16–4, including four New Jersey State Athletic Conference titles. Frederick Gordon "Fred" Hill (born August 13, 1943) is a former professional American football player. College career Hill played college football at the University of Southern California. Professional career He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in the 1965 NFL Draft but was soon traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he played at tight end from 1965 through 1971. Personal life In 1971, his five-year-old daughter Kim (August 11, 1966 – March 5, 2011) was diagnosed with leukemia. His teammates, general manager Jim Murray, and team owner Leonard Tose rallied around the family. In the aftermath of her successful treatment, the team in 1972 initiated the ''Eagles Fly for Leukemia'' philanthropic program, and Hill, Murray, and teammates co-founded the very first Ronald McDonald House, which opened in Philadelphia in 1974. Fred Hill Jr. (Born March 26, 1959) is an American college basketball coach, most recently an assistant coach for the Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team. He had previously served as the head men's basketball coach at Rutgers-New Brunswick, Rutgers University. Frederick Henry Hill (29 November 1847 – 28 July 1913) was an English first-class cricketer and clergyman. The son of Edward Hill, he was born in July 1913 at Bradfield, Berkshire. He educated in the village at Bradfield College, before going up to Oriel College, Oxford. While studying at Oxford, he played first-class cricket for Oxford University, making his debut against Southgate in 1867. He played first-class cricket for Oxford until 1870, making ten appearances. Hill scored a total of 300 runs in his ten matches for Oxford, at an average of 20.00 and a high score of 73. With his right-arm roundarm medium bowling, he took 9 wickets with best figures of 2 for 2. Elmfield College, York (1864–1932), originally called Connexional College or Jubilee College (or School) in honour of the Primitive Methodist Silver Jubilee in 1860, was a Primitive Methodist college on the outskirts of Heworth, York, England, near Monk Stray. Frederick Hill was a politician in Florida during the Reconstruction era. He was a delegate to the 1868 Florida Constitutional Convention and represented Gadsden County in the Florida Legislature.
