Fred Harrison (born 1944) is a British author, economic commentator and corporate policy advisor, notable for his stances on land reform and belief that an over reliance on land, property and mortgage weakens economic structures and makes companies vulnerable to economic collapse. Early life He was born in British Cyprus and educated in England, Germany and Singapore. After studying at Ruskin College, Oxford, he graduated from University College, Oxford, with a BA (Hons) and read for his MSc at University of London. Harrison lives in London with his wife, Rita. Ritchies is the largest independent supermarket chain in Australia, owned by a group of private investors including Metcash. It is also known as "Ritchies Supa IGA". Frederick Harrison (2 July 1880 – 21 November 1969) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward for various clubs in the 1900s and 1910s. Playing career Southampton Born in Winchester, he started his career with local sides Fitzhugh Rovers and Bitterne Guild in Southampton often playing in matches on Southampton Common where he was spotted by Joe Turner who recommended him to the Southampton directors as a "fast goal-getter with a deadly shot". He made his debut for the "Saints" in the penultimate match of the 1900–01 Southern League championship season and during the summer he accompanied the team on their first foreign tour of Belgium, Austria and Hungary which was a great success with 44 goals scored (for 3 against) in six matches. During the following season, Harrison gradually established himself in the team on the left wing, making 15 league appearances with five goals, generally replacing Joe Turner. Frederic Harrison
Frederic Harrison (18 October 1831 – 14 January 1923) was a British jurist and historian. Biography Born at 17 Euston Square, London, he was the son of Frederick Harrison (1799–1881), a stockbroker and his wife Jane, daughter of Alexander Brice, a Belfast granite merchant. He was baptised at St. Pancras Church, Euston, and spent his early childhood at the northern London suburb of Muswell Hill, to which the family moved soon after his birth. His father later acquired a lease on the grand Tudor manor house Sutton Place near Guildford, Surrey, in 1874, which descended to his elder son Sidney, and about which Frederic jnr. wrote the definitive history ''Annals of an Old Manor House: Sutton Place, Guildford'', first published in 1893. Frederick Harrison (railway Manager)
Lieutenant Colonel Sir Frederick Harrison (184431 December 1914) was railway manager and an officer in the British Army's Engineer and Railway Volunteer Staff Corps. Harrison was born in Croydon, Surrey, the son of George Harrison of Newport, Monmouthshire. At the age of twenty, Harrison became a clerk on the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) at Shrewsbury. He rose through the ranks, working at Euston under George Findlay, the General Goods Manager; a later post was that of Assistant District Superintendent at Liverpool, and in 1874 he moved to the equivalent job at Chester. He remained there for a year before, aged 31, becoming Assistant Superintendent of the Line. Ten years after this he was appointed Chief Goods Manager of the LNWR. His next promotion was in 1893, when he became General Manager of the LNWR, a post he held until the end of 1908.
